Sore Throat, Vomitting, Lethargic, Buttocks Hurting. Viral Infection?

Hi my daughter had been sick with a sore throat for 4 days, during that time she has vomitted a few times. Will not eat food, and is very lethargic, no fever and also complaining of her butt hurting. Took her to the Dr. and they said it was most likely a virus. When should I take her back to the Dr. this is an odd virus, not seeming like a normal cold or flu .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear...
All these symptoms suggest that your child might be suffering from upper respiratory tract infection(most probably viral infection)

The management consists of:
1. Drinking of warm fluids to reduce throat pain
2. Antihistamines to provide symptomatic relief
3. Analgesics to take care of pain & fever(if any)

If the symptoms still persist or aggravate such as presence of fever, excessive weakness, difficulty in breathing, persisting cough...then it will be better to visit the Doctor again.
Till then, please follow the treatment as advised by him.
And make sure your daughter is taking adequate rest & proper nutrition.

Wishing her a speedy recovery.
Thanks & take care.
