I m becoming a little concerned. I ve had a sore throat, pressure and popping in my ear, and white-ish patches , with one red spot in the back of my throat, behind my right tonsil , and one swollen lymph node. All of these symptoms are on the right side. I do wake up every morning congested. I ve tried Ibuprofen , and pseudo-fed, which seems to help, but the problem is still there. I m 29 and a smoker.
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic forum.
You are most likely suffering form acute viral pharyngitis with secondary bacterial infection.
Presence of whitish pathces along with red spot suggest the diagnosis.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist/ ENT surgeon and should go for thorough check up.
You should take appropriate antibiotics along with decongestants for faster recovery.
You should also perform gargle three times in day.
You should avoid yogurt, oily, sour and cold drinks.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
