Soreness In The Thighs, Headache And Throat Congestion After Unprotected Sex. Herpes?
I had sex with a friend drunkenly and i am not sure if he finished inside of me (the condom was almost off) but i did feel cum on inside of my thighs after sex. the day after my thighs were sore (i assumed from sex) a few days after i had a headache for a day and i would not consider my throat to be sore but just congested, i feel like theres a ball in my throat when i swallow. i am so worried i have contracted herpes and i am freaking out. please help.
I read your history & clinical symptoms with interest.
Relax..it appears that you have just contracted a common cold or virus...as the symptoms are all suggestive of a viral prodrome.
Having said that, herpes simplex is every bit a viral infection but usually manifests with some water filled blisters on the affected regions & /or ulcerations.
Did you perchance indulge in oral sex & is that why you allude to the 'ball in the throat' feeling?
Please do drink lots of fluids & take some paracetamol round the clock preferably with a combination of brufen for a 3 day period that am sure your local pharmacist will supply you. it should all clear up.
However, in future, do practice safe sex.
P.S. If the herpes phobia still persists, when better in a week or two, please do a herpes IgG/IgM test for herpes 1 & 2 & this will give you a clearer picture.
Godspeed!
