Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

From the details mentioned above ,its not clear that whether the wisdom tooth is impacted or is it completely erupted?

Abscess has developed at the site of wisdom tooth due to-food lodgement/dental caries/periodontitis.

If there is flap overlying tooth,it has to be incised and removed.

Decayed teeth has to be restored.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

Rinse your mouth after every meals to avoid food lodgement.

Take amoxycillin as well as diclofenac tablets after consulting with your dentist.

Take care.

hi,u should start a course of analgesic and antibiotics for atleast five days.because you are having infection with your respcted tooth..it happens at the time eruption of wisdom tooth, because of less space available in your wisdom tooth region.you should keep dat area very clean, start warm saline gargles use mouthwash twice a day.n go to your dentist for check up as soon as possible.

hi
the piece of gum you are talking about is called operculum... food and debris accumulation below it causes pain... you should go to the dentist and should got the area irrigated by normal saline and antiseptic... and he will prescribe you medication (antibiotics and anti inflammatory) also... and will grind any sharp area of tooth irritating your gum...
after your symptoms subside, he will take X-ray to see the space available for tooth to errupt...
If sufficient space is available, small procedure called operculectomy i.e. removal of the operculum, will be proceeded and tooth will errupt by itself...
if suufficient space is not available, you should go for the extraction of tooth...
take care...

Hi,
As your wisdom tooth is partially erupted, food accumulation occurs in the gum.
Improper oral hygiene leads to inflammation of the gum, resulting in pain and swelling.
Consult your dentist for irrigation with betadine around the wisdom tooth.
Take Amoxicillin and maintain good oral hygiene.
Take Care

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

wisdom tooth extraction is very important in this case as it may cause abscess if left untreated.

Therefore i would say please visit your dentist soon and get it examined thoroughly.

An x ray can be very helpful in his case. Also please start a course of antibiotic and analgesic and do warm saline rinses every day until you see your dentist.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Take care.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

After reading your clinical symptoms i suspect that you developed infection and abscess in your wisdom tooth. There is infection and swelling of the surrounding gingiva known as Pericoronitis.
I would suggest you to visit to an Orthodontist and get the checkup done take an OPG radiograph of the affected tooth and plan for the extraction.
Take complete course of antibiotics and analgesic.
Take lukewarm saline and antseptic mouthwash rinses.

Take care!
