Spotting After A Bowel Movement During Pregnancy. Cause?

I am 16 dpo and since Sept 29th I have been having light spotting only after a bm. I am not constipated or anthing of that nature. With my first pregnancy, I spotted every time after a bm for the first 11 wks. The first day of my last cycle was Sept 3. I range anywhere from 29-30 days. I am not sure what is causing the spotting? Is this something I should be worried about or just see how it plays out for the next couple of days? Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

If you have hemorrhoids or anal fissure you can have spotting after passing stools. But these will be associated with pain and constipation usually.
As just by this we cannot suspect pregnancy, better to wait till your expected date of periods.
And if you miss the date go for blood test or urine test once to confirm the pregnancy.
If the spotting continues or becomes severe better to consult gynecologist once and get examined.
Take care.
