Started Taking Microgynon, Had Sex, Painful Stings/burns Inside, Outside Vagina. Reason?

Recently started taking microgynon 30 for the first time and sex with boyfriend is all of a sudden painful stings/burns inside and on the outside of and around my vagina. It also hurts to wipe (even gently) around my clitoris and vagina after going to the toilet. However it doesn t sting during urination and I am sure it isn t cystitis as I have had it before. I do get wet and aroused before sex but still feels like its too dry and not the same as it used to be. Could the pill be causing this?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, the pill could be causing a hormonal imbalance which could be the cause to your presentation, but a few of your symtpoms do not relate to this.

I would either way advise a physical examination and an examination of your urine. Please schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
