I have a stinging burning sensation left inquinal area, no lump, intermittent last couple months, lasts few seconds goes away. Does not radiate any where but there. Diabetic, BS around 110 to 130, bypass in 2008. No problems since, about 30 lbs over weight
I can understand your concern for stinging and burning sensation in left inguinal area intermittently since couple of months.
After reading your query I can make out that you are suffering from the problem since more than couple of months. It makes a good period of time for any disease to express itself in months of period.
If there is no any lump or any palpable mass then it can be a part of simple nerve irritation at the local site. You can take B complex vitamins daily as nutrient supplement for a month period. I specifically recommend you to take Cyanocobalamin as vitamin B12 daily.
Take care.
