Stomach Cramps, Fluid Leakage And Shooting Pain In Lower Uterus. Have Mirena Inserted. What Could This Be?

Hi, I have had some stomach cramp like pains. Almost like I m swollen and stretching like when I was pregnant. I am not pregnant now (that I know of) and I have the mirena. And I have had fluid leakage that has an odor. After worrying about this for awhile I had a strong, electric like pain shooting through my lower stomach uterus area.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

If not for the foul-smelling discharge I would have assumed this to be a hormonal imbalance. But due to the discharge, infections will have to be considered as well. For this I would recommend a visit to the doctor for a physical examination coupled with laboratory analysis of the discharging fluid.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
