Hi i'm a girl 23 years old and my Weight about 40 kg and my tall about 159 i would like to ask about my stool analysis .. ( Microscopic examination ) it says : pus cells 2-3 RBCs 2-3 Undigested food (+++) vegetable cells Nil Muscle fibers (++) fat droplets (+++) yeast cells Nil bacteria Nil ova Nil Cyst Nil
what dose it mean ? and do i have Malabsorption ? Thank you ^_^
The interpretation of your stool is as follows: 1. There is presence of pus cells/ white blood cells- presence of WBCs suggest presence of infection, however it is mild. 2. Presence of RBCs in stools can be due to infection. 3. Presence of undigested food particles and fat droplets suggest a malabsorption. 4. There is absence of any ovum. egg of any parasite, bacteria or fungus.
In order to know the cause of malabsorption, an upper gastro-intestinal endoscopy and biopsy are required. biopsy will help to the see the changes, if any at the microscopic level. Management of malabsorption will depend on the findings of these investigations.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
