Sudden Spike In Pulse Rate, Heart Rate Rising While Lying Down. Treatment Options?
My mother just woke up suddenly from a fast heart rate and called 911. When they got here they said she was practically normal and got here heart rate back to normal. They said to get a check up soon or call them again if something happens. After a couple of minutes after they left she found that her heart rate started to rise when she laid down. Do you know what this means, please help?

This means the incidence is episodic. It comes and goes, lasting a few minutes or so.
She needs further investigations - HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – all may be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
She may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS)
It needs patience and perseverance... It is treatable...
