Suffer From Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Obesity And Hypertension. Lack Of Appetite And Chills. What Is Wrong?
My husband is 57 & has type 2 diabetes (has had it for 25+years), hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity. Yesterday he seemed fine. Today he says he does not feel well, did not have an appetite although he did eat dinner, had chills and sore legs and a small headache. He is sleeping a lot. He is on an insulin pump and other meds. what could be the problem? He last tested his blood sugar around ten am PST and it was around 120.
Hello, Thanks for posting question to H.C.M. Forum High cholesterol, Hypertension, obesity, Loss of appetite, Chills, leg cramps ( sore).
Now please mention the report of LIPID PROFILE ( diminished blood supply to leg muscles is the most common cause of sore legs and chills due to pain). Blood sugar is 120 post food , but may be due to anti diabetic treatment. Myelopathy ( pain in the muscles) is complication of diabetes. Consult a diabetologist, his opinion is very much important in this case. Hope I have answered your query. If further any question I will be happy to help. Good luck. Dr. HET
OBESE TYPE 2 DIABETES WITH ALTERED CHOLESTEROL LEVELS WITH HYPERTENSION IS REFERRED AS METABOLIC SYNDROME. I GUESS YOU MIGHT BE TAKING METFORMIN AND ATORVASTATIN, METFORMIN CAUSES SIDE EFFECTS RELATED TO GI TRACT.
