Suffering From Migraine, Discomfort In Right Shoulders. X-ray Shows Narrowing C4 And C5. Is This Related To Headache?
Hi, Im suffering from migraine all my life however for last 3-4 months daily migraines, headaches .The pain travels to my face , nose toothaches, top of my head inside my brain, sometimes i feel tingling in the back of my head.Had x-ray done showed narrowing of c4-c5.I do have lots of discomfort in my rt. shoulder blade and arm.Is there. any connection of narrowing of c-3,c-4 to headaches.
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Shoulder blade area is supplied by C4 & 5 and narrowing may cause pain in shoulder area along with upper limb.
As such there is no correlation between narrowing of cervical space with headache.
Presence of multiple symptoms along with headache may be due to migraine or may be due to trigeminal neuralgia.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist / neurologist and should go for thorough check up.
You should go for CT/ MRI scan brain and cervical spine for better clarification of disease.
You should take medicines for neuropathic pain on written prescription.
You should also consult with physiotherapist for faster recovery.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
