Suffering From Cold, Purple Hands And Feet, Low BP. Reason?
My 32 year old daughter has cold, cold, cold, and sometimes purple hands and feet. She has fairly low blood pressure, but has not been told by a doctor that she has a real problem. Also, she has no periods and has not for five years. Her Doctor says that is OK too, Get chilblains in winter. I am worried. Do you think I should be? She hasn't been to Doctor for awhile because thinks all is same, and therefore fine.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. As your daughter has cold ( may be severe according to symptoms) with purple hands & feet. In my opinion your daughter has allergic bronchitis with added infection . All these developed bronchoconstriction .Bronchoconstriction developed depletion ox oxygen which causes CYANOSIS i.e bluish discoloration of hands & feet. Diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of Pco2 & Po2 ( carbondioxide & oxygen ) . 2nd point is no bleeding from 5 years . In my opinion this may be due to any disease in uterus or ovaries . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of uterus and both ovaries. In my opinion consult a gynecologist and get his opinion regarding amenorrhea. For cold consult a physician and get his opinion . As there are two condition so separate consultation is necessary. Good luck. Dr. HET
