Suffering From Colon Caner. Portion Of Colon Removed. Having Lower Abdominal Discomfort, Back Pain, Incontinence. Prostrate Surgery Survivor. Advice?
My husband is 73 just had a bout with colon cancer 3 weeks ago. Portion of colon with cancer was removed. He is having lower abdominal discomfort, lower back pain , incontince, low grade fever that comes & goes, several bowel movements daily. No energy or appetite . He is also a prostrate surgery survivor 10 yrs. ago.
Sorry to hear about your husband's condition. The pain which you are describing can be explained du to many reasons. It could be due to the dissection done during surgery or could be some residual collection (which can explain the fever). It can also be due to adhesions, which form after surgery.
It is advisable that you consult the operating surgeon and he might run a few tests like CT to assess the cause of pain.
Hope he gets well soon.
