Good Afternoon,
I am a 35 yr old female, suffering from fever, cold and cough from last 20 days, associated with weakness, loss of appetite, and tastelessness. fever gets under control on medication but persists otherwise along with other symptoms, doctors asked for A Widal TLC, DLC, ESR test but all was normal except increased ESR. Then the doc suggested for a Chest X ray, that reported, prominent bilateral hila.... What does it mean....anything srious....

hi,
results mostly indicative of respiratory tuberculosis, mycoplasma infections and lymphomas. in all these three conditions there will be increased ESR, may be sputum examination and culture will help in diagnosis. mostly this will be tuberculosis or mycoplasma infection.
TB can be cured, now a days there are good anti-TB drugs, but they have to b taken for longer duration.

wish you good health
