Hand foot and mouth disease is a common viral illness that is seen most often in children. It is spread by contact with the lesions, from contact with infected stool and nasal and throat secretions.
Transmission can be reduced by careful handwashing, disinfecting any infected areas and avoiding close contact.
There is no specific treatment however medication can be used to relieve any itching and discomfort.
There is no specific foods that can be used to prevent this condition from recurring.
I hope this helps
