Suffering From Headache, Lump In Left And Right Side Of Nose. Taking Migraine Medicine. Should I Take MRI?
Hello, I have been having bad headaches for the past week, and after they started my physician gave me migraine medicine. Though I am having fewer headaches, the migraine medicine did not stop the problem. I am also noticing a hard lump forming on the left and right side of my nose, under each eye. When I push on the lump, I feel pressure in my forehead. I don't know what steps to take. Hospital? MRI? Thank you.
Headaches can be concerning to any one especially if there is no previous history of headaches.
Headaches can be classified as primary headaches or secondary headaches. In primary headaches there is no underlying condition causing the headache, in secondary headaches there is another underlying medical cause.
Examples of primary headaches are migraines, tension headaches, cluster headaches. Secondary headaches can be caused by trauma, infection, a mass in the head, a vascular disorder.
If you have no previous history of headaches ,then you may want to consider imaging to rule out any secondary cause.
I hope this helps
