Suffering From High Pulse Rate, Tmt And Eco Test Results Normal, Prescribed Siplar. What May Be The Cause?

hi i am ravi, 35 years old. from five month i am suffering from high pulse rate, tmt and eco test results are normal, doctor advised me to take siplar 10 twice in a day and zapta 25 at bed time. what shoul i do? what may be the cause of high pulse rate?

High pulse rate is called as tachycardia. As your TMT and Echo are normal , apparently no organic heart disease is present. If high pulse rate is episodic then Holter monitoring should be performed which is out patient investigation in which 24 hour ECG recording is performed to rule out arrhythmias. If not episodic and inappropriate to clinical situation then metabolic problems like Hyperthyroidism should be ruled out by blood test (T3,T4,TSH), particularly if there is weight loss with well preserved appetite.
