Suffering From Long Term Fever, X-ray Shows Water Pockets On Right Bottom Part Of Lungs, High ADA Levels. Is It TB ?

My father had been suffering by long term feber. After x-ray, found water pockets on right bottom part of longs. Then doctor pull out fluid sample from longs, after dignose and cunture test, there was no any bacteria found.However ADA level was high about 83.0 U/L. Base on that it was decided TB and has been using medicine for the same. please suggest, is it right decision.

Effusion drain from lung may be due to many reasons.
The appearance ,consistency are two most important factors which decide the nature and cause of disease in lungs.
May be ,
tuberculosis,
cancer,
pleural hematoma,
Above mentioned reasons are most common.
Mere high ADA level is not an indication of tuberculosis.
Physical examination and clinical symptoms are ,if correlates than we decides that is a tubercular cause.
Blood report is very important as E S R is very high in this disease.
Aspirated fluid culture is also important.
Consult a physician and get their opinion.
