Suffering From Nasal Polyps, No Asthma. Family History Of Chiari Type 2. Symptom Of Chiari?

I was told by a clinic doctor today that I have nasal polyps, I am 28, quit smoking 10/31/2011, no asthma ,family history of arnold chiarri type 2 disease, I have many of the same symptoms my dad has but I am too afraid to get tested for it, could nasal polyps be a symptom of chiarri? (I know I am not spelling Chiarri correctly)
