Paranoid Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder, where the person loses touch with reality and can have false beliefs, called delusions. Unfortunately, these persons lack an understanding or insight into their llness and this can make them act in accordance with their false beliefs or their distorted sense of reality. Sometimes, such actions or behaviours can result in difficulty or harm to others. Every country or state has relevant laws and mental health acts which have provisions for restraining by force, mentally ill persons who pose a threat or harm to others or the society. Since this is against the will of the person, such restraining orders or involuntary treatment requires approval by appropriate authorities, usually a magistrate s order. So, in your situation, though it is quite distressing to you, the only solution would be appropriate action taken by the authorities.
