Suffering From Severe Depression, Have Pain In Heart, Increased Heart Beat, Chest Pain. What Do We Do?
My Friends suffer from severe depression to start off. she have been having pain (like heart area) when ever she cry, her chest pain too much and her heart beat increase much. Today (well just now) she had an episode of intense crying and she found that her chest is paining and the pain will be there through the day and the pain will go slowly on the second day. Anyway these like puts sooo much pressure and requires so much body effort that for some reason its affecting that general heart area and her body get too hot then. what to do? i am worried abt her. What could this be?! P.S. she is 19 year old female.
She is 19 and she has severe depression. She is currently having crying spells and pain in chest. The pain is most likely somatic pain of depression. She needs treatment from a Psychiatrist. Before starting treatment I would like to get her evaluated for any cardiac problem. Get her ECG done and then visit a psychiatrist. Medicines like SSRI, SNRI are very useful in depression. Cognitive therapy is non medicinal treatment for depression. Keep her under proper vigilance as such patients may attempt suicide. Visit a Psychiatrist ASAP.
