General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would suggest you to take a blood beta HCG test to confirm pregnancy since the test is very sensitive than urine test. Any history of hormonal pill intake should be ruled out. Pelvic ultrasound should be done to identify any uterine or ovarian cause of irregular periods and abdominal pain. In case of negative pregnancy test, you may be prescribed hormonal pills to initiate your cycles.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
