Suffering From Strep Throat. Difficulty In Swallowing. Taking Antibiotics And Gargling. How To Treat It Fast?
I want to know how to treat strep throat fast, i have it for 4 days and im suffering form it ,,it hurts so bad when i swallow , i went to my family doctor and he gave me antibiotic and im taking it , and im doing all the water salt gargling and lemon and tea and all does other stuff but its still hearting me please help
Pencillin, Macrolide or broad spectrum antibiotic are most effective antibiotic against streptococcus. Check with your treating physician whether or not the antibiotic which you are on is effective against the strep.
Nevertheless, I understand your concern and the difficulties you can face while swallowing. In this regards, I suggest you to try gargling with solution made up of warm water and disprin (dispersible aspirin). Most of my patients have found this very useful in relieving the distress and throat complain.

hi.if your throat is still hurting it means the infection is persisting.this could be due to antibiotic resistance[the streptococcus bug is not being killed by your present antibiotic].consult an ENT doctor and get your antibiotic changed.
