Suggest OTC Drugs For Throat Infection

hi, i have a throat infection and have been to the doctor. He prescribed antibiotics which unfortunately didn t work. The antibiotics lasted for four days. I still have the infection, it isn t painful, or bothersome in anyway whatsoever. But my circumvallate papillae is swollen, i have red bumps on the back of my tongue....the usual. I would like to know if there are any otc drugs or natural remedies i can use to get rid of it...or do i have to see my doctor again????

You may start Betadine ( Providone Iodine) gargles. An antibiotic course may not work if the causative organisms are resistant. You may have to get a throat swab for culture and sensitivity test done and then take the appropriate antibiotic.
A dental check may be required if it is recurrent.
