Suggest A Diet Plan For Effective Weight Loss

I am 77 years female, eating only whole foods, lots of vegetables and fruits, no sugar, no fruit juices, moderately exercise ( some yoga/ pilates). For years I am straggling to loose 5-10 pounds . My ideal weight is 130 - 138 and in the recent months I gained to 150. I have skinny legs and arms but round in the middle. I have advanced osteoporoses . I tried many different diets and I couldn t loose even 1 pound. I am at the end of the rope !!!

Hi and welcome to HCM.
I'm Dr. Taimur and I will be addressing your health concerns.
I have read your question and understand your concern.

The most important aspect of weight gain that is usually missed even by health professionals is to decrease the bread content of food. You know fruits are the most low calorie diets ( of course they are rich in micronutrients but in terms of calories they have the least calories as compared to other foods).
So to lose some weight best thing is to decrease the bread content ( anything that contains starch) and fat content of food. To my patients it is usually recommended that eat fruits just before meals especially the apple (low calories and high satiety) and take high protein diet only, it helps you lose weight significantly.
And of course the famous notion is TO BURN MORE THAN YOU GET, you have to take regular calories burning aerobic exercise ( yoga does not help you a lot in terms of calories).
Don't lose hope, it is hard but not impossible and if you stick to above discussion I think you can surely make it.

I hope this might be of some help, if you have any query feel free to ask me any time.
Thanks.
Dr. Taimur
