Usually total weight gain in
pregnancy should be between 9 to 11 kgs.
In case of
obese women that should be curtailed for around 6 kgs.
Total calories intake for should be 30 to 32 kcal/kg/day in non obese patients and 25 kcal/kg/day in obese patients.
You should devide your total food into three main meals and two snacks.
Among them 50 to 60% should be complex carbohydrates, and 20 to 25 % should be fats and
proteins should be 25g/1000 kcal.
You should include fruits, vegetables, skimmed milk, eggs etc in diet.
Better to take fruits with high fiber like citrus fruits.
Include whole grains, cereals, dried peas, beans, legumes etc.

And associated exercise is also important.
With all these workup blood sugar levels should be maintained within normal range.
