Suggest A Medication For High Altitude Sickness

I am a asking my docotor to prescribe a medication for high altitude. I have ask 3 times now and she has not called in my prescription. I am going to Peru in 2 weeks and can not drink the coca tea they provide for the atltitude sickness there. My Optomoligist told me not to drink the tea as I have had narrow angel glacoma surgery on my eyes.

Diamox. That is a treatment for glaucoma so I don't see how it isn't a (temporary) treatment for altitude sickness.
