Suggest A Medicine To Normalize Periods For A 31-year-old

Hi, I am 31 years old. My first cycle was on 14 April after my second child birth. My cycle was 34-36 days. I am yet to my cycle after the above mentioned one. I took the pregnancy test. It was negative. Please suggest a medicine or solution to get my cycle immediately. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After child birth, periods get irregular if mother is breast feeding. In such a case, you should not worry about periods, keep on using suitable contraceptive to avoid pregnancy. If you are keen to get periods, you can take a strong & short course of hormones which would create withdrawal bleeding within 8 days of withdrawal. Choice & dosage of pills depends on many personal factors so it's advisable to consult your gynecologist for it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
