Suggest A Reasonable Alternative For Effient (Prasugrel)

I have been on Effient(Prasugrel) since 2009 after a heart attack and stents. Our new insurance plan has raised the price to $1,000.00 for 90 day supply. Should I ask my Cardiologist for an alternative or to get off it entirely. I do have an on going valve issue which has not reached a point that something has to be done yet.

Hello,

After stenting, prasugrel is must and no other alternative is there. Hence, continue Prasugrel.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
