Suggest A Regimen For BP, Dizziness And High WBC Count
My daughter-in-law has had on a number of occasions a sudden increase in her blood pressure, dizziness and a high white blood cell count. She is around 38 or 39, doesn t smoke, isn t overweight, has 3 children and is moderately active. She works part-time at a blind center and it seems this usually occurs while she is at work. She hasn t had any luck with the doctors she has seen and the one she saw today told her not to drive or go to work. It s not that she needs to work, she just likes to help out during the summer so other employees can take vacation and her older 2 sons are usually visiting their dad part of the summer. I just wonder if she needs to go to some kind of specialist. She does have ICP which was diagnosed with her last pregnancy (our granddaughter is 3 years old). Any ideas?
Noted the history about your 38-39 year old daughter-in-law having high blood pressure, dizziness and high WBC count, advised by Doctors not to drive and take rest, had ICP diagnosed during pregnancy. High blood pressure should be well investigated and well managed with proper medical management. This may help with dizziness. May need an opinion of an ENT Surgeon and Neurologist with MRI and CT scan study of brain, neck vessels, mastoid and as needed to know the exact cause and have specific treatment. High WBC count can be due to reactionary causes or infection and can be treated accordingly after proper investigations of blood, urine and stool. May need a curse of an antibiotic if the bacterial infection is found.
