General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

noted history of lump. may i ask where specifically is it located in your abdominal area and do you have any prior abdominal surgeries? it is best to consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. in investigating hernias (incisional, umbilical, or inguinal type), ultrasound may be helpful but a clinical diagnosis is sufficient depending on the expertise/experience of your doctor. definitive management of hernia, is surgical repair. other diagnostics and management (medical and surgical) will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
