Suggest A Remedy For Red, Inflammed, Dry And Painful Skin On Hands
Yes my hands are very red, inflamed and painful. The redness goes up the outsides of my wrist. It looks horrible, but not really looking like it's in the joints. I also have very deep cuts on my fingers around the tops of the nails, that take time to heal because they are so deep and my skin is very dry. The pain is on the skin part, but also deep in my hands, starting to really hurt my thumbs and palms of thumbs.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red, inflammed, dry and painful skin on hands . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like angiomas , allergic , eczema , psoriasis , chickenpox or scabies. I would suggest you to keep your hands clean and dry , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl and apply petroleum jelly . Consult dermatologist if condition doesn't get well . Doctor may order skin patch test along with allergy test . Doctor may prescribe anti fungal , corticosteroid and anti inflammatory along with immunosuppressants.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
