Suggest A Remedy For Severe Pain While Suffering From Tooth Infection

Hello I have a really bad toothache. I was told a year and a half ago by an oral surgeon that I had to get a tooth removed cause of infection and he said he would have to shave some of my jawbone. I didn t cause I didn t have the money to do it then. Today my face is killing me. I took an amoxacillin at 11pm is it ok to take another right now?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Severe pain in tooth seems to be due to extensive tooth infection that can also lead to formation of dental abscess that is pus formation below the root tips of the tooth and the pus creates pressure over nerve endings leading to severe pain..
I would suggest you that as you are already advised for tooth extraction you should consult your dentist/ Oral surgeon again and get the tooth extracted.
This is a must as you will get completely relieved only once the cause of the pain is treated as medication cannot alone provide permanent relief and can be only temporary relief..
As of now you can take higher painkillers like Ketorolac or Tramadol as they are capable to relieve severe pain..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
