Suggest A Remedy For Shortness Of Breath While Having Asthma

I have asthma but have not been on meds for about two years. I am having shortness of breath, cant feel like I can take a deep breath, feeling a little light headed. I have used my emergency inhaler and feel some what better. I have several other health issues. I guess my question is should I go to ER now or is this something that can wait until morning?
