Suggest A Remedy For Sinus Discomfort, Earache And Chest Congestion

For over 2 weeks, I've had cold/sinus symptoms. The sneezing and mild sore throat are now gone. I continue to have moderate headaches, sinus pain/discomfort, my ears ache, and some throat/chest congestion. I do not want to take antibiotics, as I've done that for years now to help w/diagnosed sinus infections. This time I don't think it's the same. Could you advise?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have sinusitis leading to sinus discomfort along with headache and earache seems to be due to ear infection secondary to sinusitis as the ears and throat are connected via Eustachian tube..
I would suggest you to take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, take anti allergics like Levocetrizine, decongestant like Phenylephrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol..
You can do steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
You can avoid chilled foods and air conditioned atmosphere..
Drink plenty of warm water..
Saline nasal irrigations, decongestant nasal sprays and steroid nasal sprays can help..
In case if still there is no improvement consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS View x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Antibiotics and steroids will be advised as a last resort to medical treatment and in case if there is no improvement surgical treatment will be advised..
