Suggest A Remedy To Manage Pain In The Ears Due To Infection

Hello, I have had the cold for over a week now, just four days ago I found I had an ear infection in my right ear. However, suddenly this morning, the pain was gone. After a few minutes, my left ear started hurting, and I guessed the infection had passed onto this ear. I went to the doctors today and she also said it was an ear infection, so she prescribed me with amoxicillin to take 3 times a day for a week. My left ear is hurting so much, i have had ibuprofen, hedex, sudafed, paracetamols and have pressed a heat pad onto my infected ear, nothing has worked, I cannot sleep either, is there anything i can do to ease the pain right away?
