Hello. I have a couple problems. The main one is that I sprained my right ankle last Saturday. It seemed pretty severe for the first couple of days, but I have full movement of my toes, can twist the ankle around relatively well, and can also walk pretty well, up and down stairs, and can even balance on it by itself for an exceptional amount of time. A good portion of the swelling has gone down, however, I m a bit concerned about the severety of the bruising. Although it was my ankle which was sprained, it appears that there are other various bruisings happening on the foot, including at the base of my toes. There is a pretty severe bruise right at the bottom of the shin where it meets the ankle, which reaches around to the back of the ankle kind of where the achilles tendon is. I guess I d just like a professional opinion on how severe it sounds by description, so I know how long I should let it heal for. I m an athlete, so I was told to excercise it as much as possible, and walk on it as soon as I can, to keep the muscles strong and keep the blood moving through it. Is there any accuracy to that suggestion?
