Hi i fell and hit my head a week ago i got a scab on my head as a result. Today it was itchy so i scratched it and a piece came of with alot of hair on it leaving me with a bald spot about 2 in diameter. I have no history of scalp problems. Will the hair grow back? Yours sincerly, Grahame...
As per your case history of itchy scab, my treatment advice is:
1. Avoid applying hair oil for at least 30 days. 2. Apply an antifungal lotion like Clotrimazole lotion twice daily on affected part. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetrizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral fluconazole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
