Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of itchy scab, my treatment advice is:

1. Avoid applying hair oil for at least 30 days.
2. Apply an antifungal lotion like Clotrimazole lotion twice daily on affected part.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetrizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral fluconazole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
