Suggest Alternate Treatment For PV

Im 64 years old male and have just been told i have pv it started in my mouth and then in my nose now it's on my body and spreading. I want to know if aloe vera will help I am not on steriods because I thought I became allergic when I developed carbuncles in my groin and heard that steriods suppress the immune system making infection more likley.
