Suggest Alternative For Hyoscyamine To Treat Acute Spastic Colon
What is an alternative to Hyoscyamine and isn t a narcotic that will control my acute spastic colon issue? Hyoscyamine causes other issues because I have to take 3 mg0.375 doses a day for it to work. I take 80mg of Furosemide and equal of potassium. Hyoscyamine blocks the potassium absorption. What other choice is there. Nothing to date has controlled my spastic colon but Hyoscyamine but I also do not know what else is out there that may be an equivalent to Hyoscyamine. My gastro doctor doesn t seem to know. I cannot find anyone with an answer. I have tried Chlordiazep/Clid(Librax) Caps 5/2.5, Belladonna prescription, mint gel tabs, and Hyoscyamine 0.375 3 times a day.
Kindly discuss the issue with your primary care provider for best guidelines in terms of usage, side effects, efficacy and need curtailed to your particular case.
