Suggest Alternative For Ramipril Tablets For Kidney Issues

Hello, I am 73 and have had high blood pressure for 20 years. I take atenolol 50mg, amlodipine 10mg and ramipril 5mg daily. I also have poor functioning kidneys and am prone to develop hyperkalemia from time to time which necessitates me having to take a dose of kayexalate. My consultant has increased the ramipril to 7.5mg daily and this immediately resulted in raising my potassium level to 5.5. Can I stop taking ramipril altogether because I am sure it is damaging my kidneys further and if so what can I replce it with, perhaps homeopathically? Peter

thank you for sharing your complain,
and thanks again for your interest in homoeopathy,

dear friend don't worry.if you are thinking to start homeopathic line of treatment,it is best in your case. you can start homeopathic treatment simultaneouslly with your ongoing treatment of hypertension and kidney problems. first, you should not stop anti-hypertensive medicines you are taking. take all medicines and along with this start homeopathic treatment. monitor your blood pressure and patassium level in blood regularlly. once your blood pressure and patassium level comes under good control you can reduce or stop the dose of ramipril, atenelol and amplodipin according to advise of your treating doctor.
but homeopathy treats 'person as a whole', not only a single disease that means all details of your life style will be asked by homeopath doctor and according to that medicine will be given which will be most suitable to you.so your all diseases hypertension, hyperkalemia and all your kidney problems will be also covered in homoeopathic line of treatment. so plz consult a homeopath nearer to you.

hope this answer will be helpful to you.
for more queries plz don't hassitate to ask.
get well soon dear friend
