Suggest Alternative Medication For Bonviva Tablet

I took one Bonviva tablet on October 1st and it nearly killed me.. Fly symptoms ..Nausea and Muscle spasms.i ended up in hospital..I Will never take it or anything like it again..is there a healthier alternative. .I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis.Thank you.

Boniviva is in the class of medication called bisphosphonates. They are used to prevent the loss of bone mass (slow done bone thinning) and therefore reduce the risk of minor or major fractures.

There are other bisphonates that may agree with you such as fosamax, reclast/zometa, actonel, denosumab.

You can consider trying one of these options to see if you can tolerate one of them.
