Suggest Alternative Medication For Persistent Burning Sensation On Face After Bleaching

I accidentally burnt my face with bleach, using a wash cloth that I cleaned with bleach on it. Thought it was a clean washcloth and was going to wash my face. Burnt my skin from side of nose to cheekbone area. Put Hydrogen Peroxide on it and then neosporin. It still hurts/burns all day. Did this two days ago. What else can I do?

Hi..
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I have gone through your query and can understand your health concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have first degree burns caused by exposure of facial skin to bleach for which you can do the following:

-Frequently wash your face with cold water..
-Apply ice packs over the burn area..
-You can also apply chilled aloevera gel over the face as it will have a soothing effect as well as it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory property..
-You can apply 1% Hydrocortisone ointment to reduce burning and scarring..
-You can wash your face with coconut water as it has Vitamin E and K and will provide nourishment and also reduce scars..
-Avoid direct sun exposure and always apply sunscreen lotion containing SPF 5O and cover the burn area..
In case of pain OTC painkiller like Ibuprofen [Advil or Motrin] can be taken..

Hope this information helps..
