Suggest Alternative Medication In Place Of Coreg

my doctor gave me coeg plus 2 other medication for my very high blood pressure -- but coeg is making me very ill - headaches, painful joint and sleeplessness - he said i must take coreg for my blood pressure - i take valsartan 320 almodopine 10 mg and a water pill - i was take metoprpolol but that was taken off - i need a replacemeent for coreg

Hello,

If you are taking Coreg just for high blood pressure, then it may be an option to switch to a similar medication like atenolol (though I'm not sure why you were taken off metoprolol). There are also other blood pressure medications that could be considered as well, such as spironolactone, chlorthalidone, or hydralazine.
