Suggest Alternative Medication In Place Of Warfarin

Dear Sir, Madam, Friend of mine is taking Warfarin, prescribed by his doctor, and is not able to stabilise - his blood findings/readings are always different according to his doctor. Would there be reason why is that and is there any other drug similar to Warfarin he can ask for and use it instead? Thank you

Hi.

If the patient does not seem to be havung a stable INR while on warfarin then they can think abiut changing over to other alternatives like dabigatran or rivaroxaban. But only after being in warfarin for at least 3-6 months and after their doctor thinks it is best to change.

Best wishes.
