Suggest Alternative Treatment For Plaque Psoriasis

Hello I have had plaque psoriasis for over 20 years. Tried all steroid creams on the planet with no help at all. Sick of throwing money away. but I am also a alcoholic. My question is are there any oral treatment out there I can take without causing further damage to my liver. Thank you.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have plaque psoriasis and along with that you are alcoholic due to which there area chances for this disease to be remitting and relapsing. I would suggest you to combination of Methotrexate along with topical modalities and phototherapy. I would recommend liver biopsy after reaching certain cumulative concentration of methotrexate, to look for any early/developing fibrotic changes in Liver. Cyclosporin and biologics are other treatment options as they boost immune system and fasten recovery. Don't take stress and take diet rich in multivitamins.
