Suggest Alternative Treatment To Remove A Bump On The Forehead

Hi, my boyfriend has a blood filled bump on his forehead and its been there for almost a year. A doctor cut it open and removed the skin but it came back after it scabbed over. It seems as if it not just under his top skin, its under a few layers if skin. What is it and how can it be removed? How can he keep it from coming back?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

To prevent the recurrence, total excision is needed under general anesthesia for best results by expert consultant surgeon or neurosurgeon. An MRI before head to reveal all the anatomical details of underlying layers is a must in case of revision surgery, to plan the best modality of intervention.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
