Suggest Alternatives Of Erythromycin And Bactrim For The Treatment Of Sinusitis

I had sinus drainage start about 10 days ago, the drainage moved to my sinus cavities which started causing problems with my upper gums ,on the whole. right side of my mouth, I went to my dentist he wrote for erythromycin base 500 mg, q 6 hrs. after 3 days I had an allergic reaction. my heart rate went past 105 I had a fever of 103 degrees I did see my doctor that day, I was so so sick. I quit the erythromycin. my dr. then wrote for sulfamethoxazole/tmp double strength 800/160 q 12 hrs now I am reacting to the bactrim. my face, neck, lips are red and burnt. my joints are swelling the portion of my gums that were to heal by taking these all these antibiotics is feeling painful or itchy like . so for this eve I am stopping the baactrim. I am 63 yrs old, retired, married, 5 4 tall I weight 163 lbs. I worked hospital pharmacy for 30 yrs. I knew I had some allergies but I don t know what to do next. and I don t take any medication on a regular basis. maybe ibuprofen for some aching. joints or for discomfort after the dental work I have had done in the last few months. thank you Karen YYYY@YYYY
