General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I would suggest you to use fragrance free milk soaps or body-wash and keep the skin hydrated to minimize flare-ups of psoriasis. The ointment prescribed contains topical steroid and requires a prescription from the GP. In meantime, you can use E-45 cream as it is readily available in the UK without prescription and is effective. For the shampoo replacement, you can try Nizoral 2% shampoo easily available over the counter. Use the shampoo at least thrice a week and E-45 cream at least twice daily all over the body.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
